As a graduate of Ecole Classique in the 90's I guarantee you that this was NOT the case. Ecole didn't discriminate, and yes they opened their doors and hearts to most, but not all. They believed in giving kids a second chance, but not a 3rd or 4th. It was a fantastic nurturing, tough as nails, education, where they didn't put up with the pussies that the are being produced today. Ecole is nothing like Country Day where CD has to keep up with the "Jonses," "new money," social climbers, whereas Ecole didn't care and still doesn't care who or what you come from.

Ecole was and still is a schitt hole. Sam Barthe sold that school to Sal Frederico in the late 70’s and he never put dime into it. It’s dirty and literally has the same stuff on the gym walls from the 70’s when I was at Barthe.
Ecole was a bunch of pussies and that’s why the Barthe guys all left. You are correct CD is nothing like EC, and your description of CD reeks of ignorance. More a few people there on grants, also faculty kids. Great school, plenty of conservative parents who are pissed about the antics today.
