I never said that we should trade for Duncan Robinson or that he is the ideal fit/ contract. I’ve always advocated for Sexton, Brogdon, Oladipo type players that would be 5th-6th in rotation.

I agree with y’all that we shouldn’t trade Graham and Kira for another mediocre 7-9 in rotation.

Hayes, Kira, Graham, and a future 1st can land a good player. If we get rid of Hayes then we can let Murphy/ Herb play some 4 and draft both a PF and C. That frees up space at the PG/ SG for our lottery and whatever player we trade for.

Other than this scenario we should keep Kira and Graham. I just think the emergence of Jose/ Nance makes this realistic.

Again, it is not just the player, but the salary. Without corresponding moves to reduce salary, we cannot trade 3 roster spots for one roster spot at a higher salary. Other than maybe Oladipo, that is what you would be doing.

We could trade Hayes and Temple without taking back a contract.

That would be the move to reduce salary. We could use a 2nd we got from them and our 2nd to draft 2 bigs to fill the roster this year.

That would free up 8 mil and then Kira + Graham + random future 1st, swap, or 2nds could do something.

Look obviously we don’t have to do this and we can keep Kira, Graham, etcc and see how it goes. But it’s not impossible and once again idk where Hayes, Kira, Graham fit long term.

It’s really not a bad issue to have right now so no hard feelings with any opinions. I remember the days of our starting 5 being worse than our current 5-10 man rotation.
