Ride the red line to both ballparks.
This on Repeat.... I thought it would be sketch going back to the loop from the White Sox game around 10:30pm but it wasnt terrible.... plenty of Sox fans also traveling at the same time so stay with the crowds and you'll be fine.
First trip to Chi in 2018 we went and it was sub 20 degrees.... we were unsure on trains so took uber everywhere (wasnt pricey at that time)....
Last year we didn't touch an uber both times in CHI. I would look from time to time to see prices and if its worth it, but was never worth it.
If you buy the deal they have on the 24 hour pass or something on the train it makes sense just to do that.
Since yall are in town for extended time I would recommend the blue bikes. When me and my wife went back in August we rode around the city and along the lakefront. Was a neat and easy way to see the city. You end up walking a ton and don't even know it, so to be able to ride around and see/do so much extra that was fun.
Friend of mine lives in the Lincoln Park area and has biked up the lake front to Northwestern's campus.... he said thats a nice ride... could be something neat to look into.
*****Also, not sure if yall looked into it but we flirted with adding an extra day when we went (me and my son) to take the train up to MIL for a Brewers game....but my wife said to just stick to CHI. We really should have. It's a 90 min ride and its very easy to navigate. If the Brewers are playing while yall are traveling that weekend I would rec just to say yall pulled off 3 ballparks.
