A lot of rantards, not your average LSU Fan, believe that the running QB is the golden goose when the truth is the almost never win anything. It’s a strange and ignorant fascination here on the Rant.

Not really. All things being equal passing-wise, you’d be stupid not to go with the the dude who can break off 40+ yard runs. But all things may not be equal passing. I think they love what Myles brings passing and what Daniels brings with his feet. Nuss may be the best combination of those 2 traits. I think a lot of people are writing him off way too easily. Dude can play.

However—and this sucks—Kelly has to be cognizant of roster management. He may think Nuss gives us the best chance to win (probably doesn’t), but he almost has to go with Brennan or Daniels or the best QB room we’ve had in a while could quickly turn into red-shirt freshman Nuss and true freshman Walker and some walkons. Just reading the tea leaves, I think they like Nuss, probably a good bit more than a lot of fans think. But they desperately want Brennan or Daniels to separate themselves and take the job and will give both every opportunity to.

I think it's for recruiting why show young recruits that you only recruit one style over the other get both and may the best style of play that gives you the best chance to win..options,options,options

Daniels isn't leaving. He doesn't have another free transfer in his pocket. If he transfers again, he will have to sit and waste a year.
