I want you to imagine for a moment that you are the Chief Development Officer of a company that is looking for a new site. Your boss sends you around the South to let’s say Nashville, Raleigh, Tampa, Birmingham, and New Orleans. In each city you meet with city planners and leaders, review the news and demographic data, and soak the city in. After all that, you are asked to choose a city. Which city are you choosing if your job depended on getting it right?

I live in uptown, and it's the opposite of what you would expect. Multi millionaire carpetbaggers are moving here en masse, getting in bidding wars with one another for the biggest houses they can find. They don't have the common sense, conservative ethos of your average TDer. They think it's great that we have a progressive mayor from California and a DA chosen by George Soros, thus they are drawn here as if by a pied piper. Nola survives in weird ways.
