LSU vs Texas

With a few large recruiting battles between us and UT (namely Loston and Mcfarland) and Texas having Muschamp and us with... well you get the point. How much does this past week hurt our chances?

Maybe Mcfarland, but Loston is not very high on UT. Either way though I think basing your decision purely off of how a team is doing up to this point is stupid. Theres alot of different factors that play into that. LSU will rebound and UT will not go undefeated, as a matter of fact they could lose this weekend to Mizzou.

McFarland went to the Texas/OU Game this past Saturday as a guest of OU (who only could invite recruits because they were the designated home team).
Sitting among other OU Recruits, OU Family, and OU Fans McFarland was seen being calm in the first half but rooting loudly for Texas towards games end. Take that for what it's worth.

True. I agree but when the schools are so close then the only remaining variable is the teams performance

we take loston they get mcfarland.
we've had a solid haul in texas this year...shep, pratt, stavion lowe. the staff has done a great job considering all the teams that compete for texas talent.

I'd bet the house muschamp will not be at UT next year and will be head coach somewhere...(Clemsom maybe)

Isn't that a matter of opinion?! ;) Just fricking with you
Apparantly McFarland was at the OU-Texas game, wearing all red. He went at OU's expense for his visit.
But was later seen openly cheering for Texas after the win. All rumors.

+1
that will be big if the recruits don't know who they may play for. Even with Muschamp still at Texas I don't see them as a defensive juggernaut like LSU has been depicted in recent years.(yes I watched the Florida game)

Muschamp will get a good HC gig this next year..what gains were made by Texas this past weekend with their up and LSU's down trend..
Will be negated by season's end.
Those kids in Texas know that the Big-12 plays flag-football for the most part..the SEC's NFLesque play and allure still shines above.
The SEC is slightly down this year with few savvy Senior-laden QBs and many 1st year starters, and the Big-12 is peaking with experienced QBs, and yet odds are that UF and Bama still are better teams by year's end than UT, OU, or Mo.
