I have unlimited PTO and I take off more time than I would if I had a PTO bank. It helped out a lot the past couple years since I'm in the age range where all of my friends are getting married. Lots of Thursdays and Fridays taken off with no questions asked. Luckily my boss is cool with it as long as I get my job done.

I really wish this was the mindset for employers as long as the work allows for it. Hire me to accomplish goals, not sit in the office 40 hours a week if it isn't necessary. I've got a good number of projects currently, but the nature of them doesn't really necessitate sitting at my desk 9-5. But here I am because management believes in butts in seats.

Couldn't work for all industries of course.
