Not always true anymore. Our contractor is having a hard time getting his subs to come in and finish our house. There is still a bunch of hurricane repair work out there and subs are doing those because they pay more. People are willing to pay anything to get back into their homes.

In my experience residential subs have two different prices, one for contractors and one for owner builders.

Loan rates just jumped to over 5%. I’m hoping this could cause prices to fall a bit.
