It seems that every program investigated in this scandal has fired the coach(es) when the NOA has presented compelling evidence against them?
Kansas fired the assistant
Auburn fired the assistant
NC State fired the coach
Arizona fired the coach
OK St fired the assistant
LSU fired the coach
is that true?
In fact, LSU seems to have waited longer than most of these in supporting Wade until the NOA that took years.
Seems most other programs are doing exactly what LSU is: firing coaches the NCAA revealed it had strong evidence against to show they're trying to comply and then fighting the idea that infractions went any higher up?
If the main evidence is against an assistant, they'll argue the head coach was kept in the dark. If it's against the head coach, they'll argue the AD/compliance dept were kept in the dark.

So, taking all of this in consideration, as someone mentioned early on, NIL has mitigated all of the under the table payments. Regardless of any potential sanctions, Basketball will be somewhat relevant within 2 years.
