Can the Falcons accept trade? Who gets Ryan?

I am curious to the cap gurus. What would happen if right now a trade was executed and Watson went to Atlanta?
1. How much over the cap would this put them?
2. What would be the penalty if they accepted the trade expecting to backload Watsons contract and then unload Matt Ryan but then being unsuccessful in unloading him. (Cutting him adds 50M to the cap so the cant do that either) Im pretty sure they can’t just go into the season over the cap like this. What would actually happen?
So looking at this I’m guessing that the answer to number 2 would be that they would have to gut a lot of their team before the season and pick up no name players to fill it in that cost like $1M per year??
So it seems that at this point in time it is physically impossible for Watson to be traded to the Falcons, which is his first choice.
It looks to me that the Falcons must trade Matt Ryan and if they cant do it it’s impossible to trade for Watson. Watson grew up rivaling Saints but he realizes that if either the Falcons can’t unload Ryan or if they have to give up significant players to unload him then he will have to come here as his second option because it is his next best choice.

You can’t accept a trade if it puts you over the cap. They are much further off from this than us. That doesn’t mean much tho.

They will find a suitable trade for Ryan and make it work.
It’s happening.

What's Ryan's current contract?

If they couldn’t trade Ryan, they have other players they could immediately cut to free up money. Grady Jarrett is the big one.

So who wants Ryan?
Colts, Niners, Browns, Seahawks, Eagles, Bears
Saints?
Texans???

The 49ers have Lance
The Bears have Fields
The Eagles LOVE Hurts
The Seahawks are in pure rebuild mode
The Texans have Mills
I don't think the Saints will go for his contract
The Browns maybe
The Colts maybe
Bottom line is who wants Ryan's contract.

Boy, they'd have a crap load of money tied up in qb. How do you fill out a roster?

So then this trade needs a 3rd party to take on an asset and eat Matt Ryans contract in the trade doesn’t it? Or else it does not happen.
The Texans already have done it once with Oswiler
Cough, cough Browns
