These two statements are contradictions. In one statement, you say there was no difference. In the very next statement, you point out the difference.

utterly irrelevant to a Presidential authority to make a nomination and the Senate duty to take it up.

The Senate is not required to take up a nomination from the president. The only thing utterly irrelevant is your desire for how you want things to be.

So you have admitted the hypocrisy. In first instance, the official Senate position conveyed by McConnell was that the Senate should not take up a nomination so close (8 months) to an election, because it could go against what the people might want. In the second instance, the fact that an election was less than 2 months away did not matter to the same party.

If you can't see that as hypocrisy, you either don't know what hypocrisy is or you are engaged in some extreme rationalization. So you are more interested in "winning" than in democratic principles...which has become the norm for the bottom feeders.

Mmm. That's good. More of this please.

The left wants to scream hypocrisy beause it's just another way of twisting the rules in their favor. NO ONE could have watched that stupid lying slut and her abetters in the Kavanaugh hearings and think Dems believe in the rule of law or truth.

Pretending like you're standing up for truth while promoting Dems is the height of hypocrisy. We're not playing along with the games any more.
