Yes that is a secondary good point once DWF determines that numbers warrant a few tags. But it does not in and of itself give reason to open a season. Only correct numbers and reasoning by biologists with Master degrees, determine that.

So if tomorrow a state biologist determines there are plenty enough bears to open a season, will you write them a strongly worded letter encouraging them to take into consideration the extent to which people are, or are not, woods wise enough? Or will you simply accept their assessment because they have a masters degree?


What your logic seems to be is this: There shouldn't be a bear season because the government experts haven't deemed it necessary, but if they deem it OK tomorrow, then it's fine, because the government said so. There shouldn't be a bear season right now because the government hasn't said so yet.
