30 players got action in the game. Gerald green led all scorers with 18 points.

We hope Green can tap into his potential this year, and win the slam dunk contest as well

Bass had a nice statline of 10/4, we will need great production out of him this year in our pursuit of a title.

Oh hey Stewart. Things do not bode well for the Spurs this year. They couldn't land Maggette, they lost Barry, and who knows what Ginobili's health status is.

I would've been quite scared if the Spurs could've acquired Maggette for the MLE, as it would've given them a 4th scoring option and taken some pressure off the Big 3, but alas he went where the money is and that was with the Warriors.

I'll give em a shot at the title since they still have Duncan, but he is past his prime and has an unimpressive, aging supporting cast.

I expect they'll be a #5-#6 seed this year, and their ceiling is the 2nd round.

Thanks for your expert analysis Ghazi? I'm anxious to hear how things have changed for your beloved Mavs. Did Dirk grow some nuts this offseason?

We made an upgrade at coach, reacquired Diop which solidifies interior size, and added a few swingmen athletes.

As for looming questions:

Will Kidd perform better in Carlisle's system?

Was Josh Howard's decline a fluke?

Will Gerald Green tap into his talent?

Will Brandon bass continue his progress?

If the answer to all 4 of those is yes, the Mavs will run away with hte NBA title. Even 3/4 will do :)
