He had a set position and jumped straight up. I watched the play. It's a legal guarding position with no contact initiated. Like you said, if he stood his ground he probably wouldve gotten a charge call. That means he had established a legal guarding position. He jumped straight up from that same position. He didn't knock the shooter down with his chest. Lol are you kidding me with that shite? The shooter dove into him and fell after knocking into him. Which is all perfect defending on Reid's part. He's allowed to stand and establish a defensive position and jump to block a shot with his arms straight in the air.

It was a late bail out call by the official when he saw that the shot was missed. The fact that you're trying to say that someone isn't allowed to jump and that he impeded his shot with his chest is ridiculously funny though.

When the contact is initiated by the offensive player it is ruled incidental contact in the NBA, college, and high school basketball if the defender establishes a legal guarding position prior to the jump and he maintains that position vertically.

It wasn't a foul. It never is a foul. You're allowed to jump after establishing guarding position directly in the path of the offensive player as long as you maintain your established position vertically. Reid did that. He didn't bring his arms down. He didn't jump forward into him. Considering those two things, it is an established legal guarding position, and should've been ruled incidental contact with the rebound going to LSU and the game playing on.
