He didn't slap it. He forcefully pushed it away. This is what resulted in ego kicking in and prompting the white kid to push him back. Anyone of us would have done it at that age standing around in front of our friends not wanting to look like "the bitch".
I do find it funny though that I'm getting downvoted so hard for pointing out the obvious in that the black kid instigated the fight by making the actual real first contact. Who cares if someone has a finger in your face? Either control your emotions or face the consequences for your actions. By the very definition of assault the black kid made the first contact.
