Please keep praying for a miracle. WDT’s wife posted this update today:

Thank you all for joining in on the rosary and your many many prayers!

As you can imagine, we are so distraught and heart broken that this happened to our beautiful baby girl. We still don’t know the initial cause of her illness which eats us inside, knowing we did everything we could to protect her. Renée has her biggest uphill battle yet after all she has been through. She is very very swollen from all of the inflammation in her body. She is on diuretics but is having a hard time catching up with how much fluid her body is producing and her kidney injury. Her kidneys and liver are slowly on the mend with highly elevated, but improving lab numbers. All pulses have returned in her right leg! Unfortunately, her left leg still does not have any pulses below the knee and will have to be amputated at some point. This is a result of the medication they had to put through her bones to save her life during her seizure/code. She also has a large blood clot in that leg. She started on blood thinners this evening to prevent the clot from spreading further up her leg. She had a chest tube put in today due to a large pleural effusion (swelling around the lungs). She was having difficulty expanding her lungs and getting the appropriate ventilation due to the fluid. Once it was drained, she breathed much slower and more comfortably and was able to oxygenate better. The biggest thing we are waiting on is her brain activity. She had lost so much oxygen to her brain for a period of time, we don’t know the extent of the damage. We have been told it is most evident 3-5 days after injury. She had an EEG Sunday which showed low activity, and that she was still having seizures. She had another EEG today and will hopefully be stable enough to get a head CT tomorrow. Those results combined should tell us some answers about the extent of her brain injury. We have never felt the weight in the responsibility of her medical decision making quite like this before.

We are in true need of a miracle! Yesterday, Renée was blessed by the exact crucifix Blessed Fr Seelos carried all throughout New Orleans. This was the 3rd time she had been blessed by one of his special crucifixes. He is one miracle away from sainthood and I’m hoping Renée will be the one! We are so thankful for the hundreds of prayers dedicated to her. We need them now more than ever! ????????
