I have a chance to get 2 tix for my wife and I to attend the gator game... only catch is they are Florida student tickets... What would you do?

I thought about getting them and trying to find some FL fans that might like to trade for non student tickets. But if this is a not a possibility, would you risk sitting in their student section? Normally i would man up and risk a rumble with some gators, which is entirely possible since I'm a loud and devout tiger fan, but I'm not sure if this would be a good idea with my wife with me.

Suggestions?

Do you not need a Florida student id to get in with student tickets?

Leaving her at home is not an option... In all my great wisdom I selected a gator to be my wife.

You do need a student ID to use a student tix, I think you can "upgrade" the ticket to a guest tix but I think a student has to do it.

As far as sitting in the UF student section, as long as you are not an Ahole, you'll be fine.

Is that right? I'll try to verify this at a gator board.

I'll save you the trouble:

LINK

A LIMITED amount of student tickets may be upgraded for non-student use every Friday of a home football game week at the Student Ticket Office (Gate 13 of the stadium). Once a ticket is upgraded, a UF Gator1 ID Card will not have to be shown at the stadium gates to use the ticket.

Students who wish to take part in this upgrade process must pay the difference of $30 to the Student Ticket Office each Friday (8:30 am to 5 p.m.) of every home game week. These upgrades are limited, however, so be sure to get to the STO as early as possible. ONLY parents of current UF students and friends of UF students who attend another college/university may use an upgraded ticket.

Students looking to upgrade MUST be present with their most current Gator1 ID card. One student with a valid ID card can upgrade up to two (2) student tickets for a total of $60.

I would go to the game and hope for a real smack down. Just being there to see the faces around you would be worth it.

On the other hand....
