re: Regret not joining the military

I had my chance to join, and started to, but didn't follow through (sequester, govt shutdowns, then A 1yr med DQ for Lasik surgery). Sometimes I felt regret after, but I've come to realize that wasn't it. I don't regret not joining the military, it's that I had so much fun enduring the bullshite of whatever the specific thing I, along with those around me, were having thrown at us. The military was a way to continue that I think.

Life is great now, but sometimes I miss that shared strife and the friendships it built.
