Who did we miss on today that we genuinely thought we were getting?

Am I missing something? Why are people melting? For those of us who follow recruiting more than 2 weeks out of the year, we all kind of understood where we stood at this point. With the guys we brought in + the portal pulls, I’m not seeing a reason for this nonsense.

I think Lewis was the only shocking one so far. If Matthews indeed chooses A&M I’d say that would be the bigger shock

The issue seems to be that the recruiting sites got people’s hopes up for a miraculous last second haul of talent. Now that those same sites are projecting calamity, everyone is jumping off a cliff. They are distraught over things that may not come to pass, and even if they do, it is a loss of something we never really had in the first place. Jacoby Mathews would be the only gut punch to me and, even there, he’s long been de-committed and I was only allowing myself to hope for something that was far from a guarantee.

Stop it. LSU had this group of like 6 they were realistically in for. They are 1/4 right now, with people convincing themselves if LSU signs one of the final two, that’s amazing and LSU is back baby.
A TE from Louisiana picked a loaded Bama TE group over significant playing time at LSU. Anyone pretending this isn’t a problem is probably in the first stage of grief after today’s events so far.
