They were huge in England but for some reason never broke in America. They were very similar in sound to David Bowie and fashion plate/matinee idol Bryan Ferry had his look stolen by Bowie -- yes, hippie Bowie saw the unsigned RM in a club and immediately aped Ferry's style.
