I'm hoping crap like this discourages some of their bright young stars to turn their back on helping them fight their political wars. Imagine busting your arse and going through the hustle of summaundergrad, Yale Law School, law review, plum gov gig, Supreme Court clerkship, grinding on out complex opinions on a Circuit Court, etc... only to be told you can't even interview for this job because of your skin color or race (which by the way is illegal, not that the media cares).

Federal Judges are well paid but they typically take a major pay cut from what they could get as a partner at a white shoe law firm or think tank. I've known a few of them and they are a bit disgruntled and complain about crap like their wife shopping at pottery barn or their college kid eating out at restaurants every night on daddy's credit card while their former law review peers are building fancy vacation homes.

If you take away prestigious appointments for white males, because they don't belong to a coddled demographic, then you are going to see more and more of them reject the political arena in favor of big bucks in the private sector. I know I would.

The same thing is happening with actors. They are flat out telling white male aspiring actors and acting students: look, if there's a minority sitting in the call room, you are not getting that role of husband who helps wife with the laundry in the detergent commercial or the role of Bartender #2 in an episode of Law & Order, so unless you're positive you're the next Leo DiCaprio, pick another profession.
