Thanks for the advice, but with my insurance plans I am limited. My mom has gone to local practices and she complained about them the most with the upsells and prices. The last dentist I went to was a local guy and they tried selling me and in fact did sell me shite I didn't need. So I'm trying a regional "chain". There are a lot of dentists within 5 miles of my house so I have options if I don't like this new one.

They will use emotional language to sell to you far more effectively than a private practice.

Yeah

Considering your current situation you may be limited.

Once you get that fixed... how much are you paying for that dental insurance? Lots of plans have very low caps.

I think mine is like $16 a month for $1,500 coverage. How much is cash pay for a cleaning? Might not be that much more expensive to just cash pay it for a cleaning.
