Dad has a friend who has a ranch that has some Pecos River frontage. At that point, it is not the muddy West Texas version of the Pecos but the clear, spring fed version. The water is magnificent.
Kayaking North of Lake Armistad is beautiful but not for a beginner because of the private property issue.
Lake Armistad is an underrated lake.
