A significant number of St. Bernard Residents do not believe they are part of the NOLA Metro area. This is a fact.

While there are commuters who live here... a significant number of residents are perfectly happy if they never have to leave the parish for anything.

They do 100 percent think they are a small isolated town and not a suburb.

They are a very industrial and port-centric suburb at that.
