There is no advantage, ask Catholic, McKinley (death penalty), southern lab, etc.. can they get kids from outside their zone? Yes, but they must sit out a season first. If they still choose to make the drive they can do so and be eligible.

It isn't the LHSAA but local school districts. Many went allow participation in athletics if you are outside their zone regardless of LHSAA regulation. If you live outside the zoned area you can't play due to local school district rules.

So blame the school board officials and not the LHSAA here. They handicap themselves and try and blame the selects. They cap their kneecaps and then cry foul.
