Never heard of these guys, but when you see their rankings it might explain
Big 12 Still Owns Top 3
by CFP Staff
October 5, 2008
Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas remained the top three teams in the Congrove Computer Rankings released early Sunday morning. All three Big 12 schools won their respective games handily.
USC leapfrogged Penn State to move up to 4th.
Idle LSU and Alabama, which edged previously unbeaten Kentucky, give the SEC the nos. 6 and 7 teams.
Texas Tech claims the 8th-place spot for the Big 12.
BYU is 9th. The undefeated Cougars are vying to become this year's team from outside the "big 6" conferences (ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12, PAC-10, SEC) to crash the BCS bowl party. Other teams vying for that distinction are Fellow Mountain West conference member Utah (No. 14), the WAC's Boise State (12th), CUSA's Tulsa (No. 15), the Mountain West's TCU (19th), and the MAC's Ball State (20th).
Florida moves back into the top 10 after crushing Arkansas.

All of these computer polls are BS. The Tuba Top 100 is the only computer poll with any credibility.

I like CFP. I dont pay attention to their own rankings or anything, but they do have every poll known to man on their site. Also, they put out lines and breakdowns of games, which are pretty accurate.
