My plays are this:

($0 fee) Costco Citi Visa - 4% back on gas, 3% on restaurants and travel through costco, 2% at costco

($95 fee) AMEX Blue Cash Preferred - 6% back on groceries, 6% back on streaming services...so breakeven on this $1,583.33/yr on groceries/streaming services to get the fee back after first year

($95 fee) Cap One Venture - 2x miles on every purchase...breakeven here is $4,750/yr to get fee back after first year if all you do is reimburse yourself the miles; we want to upgrade this to Venture X in future

($0 fee) Chase Freedom - 5% back on rotating categories...we use this when the categories are things like gas (5% vs. 4% with costco visa), home depot, etc...very rarely gets used now

Basically we put gas, restaurants and costco purchases on the costco card, groceries and streaming services on the AMEX and then everything else on the Venture except when sometimes we get a beneficial 5% category on Freedom.

I've also booked a few vacations through costco and it's nice getting 3% there on the costco card plus costco cash cards. We just took a trip to mexico we booked the all inclusive through costco and got a $103 costco cash card for it. Between the 3% back and the cash card it was effectively like 10% back.

Edit - totally forgot to mention I have the Amazon Prima Visa for 5% back at Amazon...probably forgot because its essentially only used virtually. Wife also has Target Red card for 5% there. Those are our only "store" cards if you will.
