Mercer scored 14 on Bama. Southern Miss, which has no discernible offensive scheme, put up 14. Is it a bad hire? Maybe not, but it's reasonable to note the lack of production. Cincy's inferior athletes managed to play respectable on defense.

you realize those games were played 3, almost 4 months ago? Teams improve. Thats just such a dumbass comparison tbh. And you think saban has team more hyped to play some 11am snooze fest against the mercer bears or a playoff semi final game?

You do realize both teams scored meaningless TDs in garbage time in the 4th quarter against backups, right? They also were not facing a Bama defense with 3 weeks of preparation specifically to shut them down nor were they facing a team with the focus and motivation a playoff game brings.
