I am sure the budget hasn't been reduced and they have just found other ways to get the money.

It just cost me almost a thousand dollars to get a double axle trailer registered/plated. Taxes were the bulk of that. I bought it out of state too, thank goodness those people were able to avoid charging me taxes, because Louisiana would have charged these same taxes anyways. I'd rather we go back to more tickets and drop some of these bullshite taxes.
