Savage 110/Thread
Its advanced engineering AccuTrigger, floating bolt head and a barrel nut allows for precise headspacing.
The fact that it isn't mentioned more in this thread, especially with people giving a fricking list, means that people are either name whores, or just haven't shot enough. Nothing against the names listed, but if you were to shoot the 110 it would definitely be at the top of everyone's list.

What about the older savage 110’s? Found one at a pawn shop yesterday. It’s the one without the detachable mag… which I like better than the cheap plastic ones on most guns these days

I used to have a 116 and loved it. Started spending too much time on the internet and fell in love with Browning BAR’s and the wooden stock stainless barrel look. Traded the Savage in for a Browning BAR White Gold Medallion…. Miss the accuracy and trigger of the Savage, but that BAR sure is pretty.
