People on this board automatically assume a a 3 man front is 3-4 and a 3-3-5 is a nickel defense.
It’s a base defense with 3 safeties and 2 CB’s while a 3-3-5 nickel is 3 CB’s and 2 safeties.

It is and it isn't.
A Nickel defense is someone from the front 7 taken out and a DB is subbed in their place.
So, 5 DBs on the field="Nickel".
Dime is 6 DBs, Quarter is 7, and Dollar is 8.
Whether it's a Safety or Cornerback doesn't matter.
So, there's 335 Nickel, and it's run pretty much like a standard Nickel 425 but changing out the Front 7 personnel.
And then there's the 335 Stack Defense...
