There are an obscene amount of restrictions you must abide by when building next to a railroad, one being no work can be done while a train passes.

But they’re not building a new bridge They’re replacing an existing bridge. How many times a day does the train pass by?

I don’t mean to be unreasonable, but it seems like six months- IF they are actually done on time (lol)- is a pretty damn long time. Even with weather delays, if they actually work 5 days a week (bigger LOL), it seems to a layperson such as myself that They should get it done sooner.

Buts it’s Louisiana, so I’m sure working efficiently or diligently isn’t a priority.

Because you're a lay person, you don't understand how big a pain in the arse dealing with RRs is. It's kinda like trying to do any work within 1500ft of a floodwall during high river. Lots and lots of hoops to jump though.
