quote:"UI" = User Interface
Do you have a layman’s explanation of this?
I'm not exactly sure what he means in terms of sinister reasons...why would a major brokerage firm want their UI to be bad?

Their UI is geared towards Boomers. If you have ever dealt with that generation and technology, you will understand.

Ya’ll need to see the Invesco site I have to login for my work’s IRA. All that I can see are balances and if I want to change something I have to call. If I want to do a withdrawal myself. I have to find the forms on Invesco’s regular site, and then I have to fill out the forms MAIL them and then they will either cut a check or direct deposit if the stars align.
I miss Oppenheimer’s site and the ability to fax or upload documents.
Update: I logged in and found where I can change investments but the user interface is hot garbage or geared to a school kid. But I still can’t do a withdrawal directly on the site or even list form that need.
