Went out of Fourchon Saturday morning and it was rough in the beginning. Had motor problems so weren't able to get far enough out to get the red snapper and only ended up with 7 Mangroves, 1 African Popino (sp?), and a lane.

Went out to the West Delta Block yesterday and tore up some snapper. 60 Mangroves (all 20" and bigger) and 12 Red Snapper (all over 8 lbs), 1 trigger, 1 Layne, and 1 Popino. Had our limit by 10:30 am. Seas were dead calm

We left at 9 PM Friday night, drove all night and dove EI/SS in the morning. We got our asses kicked friday night and saturday morning

We ended up shooting 10 red snapper (biggest was 21 smallest was 12ish), 10ish mangroves (all between 12 and 7 pounds), 1 lemonfish (20#), 1 warsaw (38#), 1 black drum (35#), a couple sheephead (biggest was 9#) and triggers (6#) also

We didnt shoot any HUGE fish but we still came in and dam near swept the Aqua Aces Rodeo. We only had 7 Hell Divers in the water on a total of 2 boats both diving only 1 day and still won the rodeo

Not sure of the rig numbers, we never look at those things. We caught the mangroves about 15 miles out and the red snapper about 20 miles. Caught the red at a rig that had a jacked up boat on it and 3 guys watching us fish the whole time. Was in a 27' Contender

Was that the rig you were at?

we had planned to go offshore Saturday but had several guys with us that never salt water fished before and they were both puking by the time we made it 6 miles out. We decided not to torture them so we headed in for trout. Caught probably 300 trout but only managed 50 keepers saturday. We found some big trout Friday putting about 20 trout in the 2-3 lb. range in the box before the 30mph winds came out of no where about 1pm.

My brother took my dad and a few of his buddies out to Timbalier on Saturday. Caught about 60 trout and a ton of white trout. Pretty good trip considering the group he had on board.
