prolly the number 1 reason doc wants them. I have lost a lot of respect for his arse because of this board. He has some dumbass reasoning skills and zero economic 101 skills thats for sure.

you should read, it will really help you understand why population centers are so important in this whole thing.

also go read the post about academics. after that you will have a good grasp on why these 2 issues are so important to current members. $$$$$$

bump for night crew and WVU fans.

WVU fans please address the concerns I have laid out in this thread objectively please. I have said repeatedly if this was just about tradition, fan base etc I would be all for WVU but its not and I have laid out some very valid concerns in this thread.

quote:

1. Texas A&M- adds 24,782,302 households
2. Virginia Tech- adds 7,882,590 households
3. North Carolina State- adds 9,380,884 households
4. Missouri- adds 5,987,580 households
5. West Virginia- adds 1,819,777

Based on those numbers and the higher in-state payout the SEC should add Fresno St. and SUNY Buffalo.

national prestige and geography still play a factor. Schools can add in other ways besides population but they have to add upwards of 50-60 million per year to existing contracts to even come close to making a school worth it.

These numbers are incorrect anyway. He's confused "households" with "population"

Just further evidence that money is driving expansion. Expansion still sucks!
