Texas will find it a lot harder to travel two time zones to play teams than one. Pac 10 just doesn't seem like a good fit logistically. Oh Well!

I agree... it doesn't make sense.

most of the teams in their division would be from the big 12...

You do realize every conference Texas has been a part of has meet an untimely end? Frok Texas, I believe that they should be left to the PACed 16 so that the SEC champ can continue to own that arse year in and year out.

If the Pac 10 got six big 12 schools to join, they would form a Pac 16 east division of these six schools AZ and AZ st. The the remaining 8 schools form the Pac 16 west division. Travel doesnt change much at all for either division. I have heard talk of no PAC 16 conf championship game. Each div gets a BCS bid.

It seems like conf championships are too big a money maker too pass up on. In many years they've been better football games than the NCG.

I honestly think the BCS would cease to exist if this gained any traction. Not only does it totally nullify the original reason for expanding 12 teams (champ game) but the SEC would have to say "hell to the no" on a single conference getting two automatic berths. When #1 Bama and #2 Florida are playing for a berth, why the F would two be handed to the frigin' PAC 16? F That shite...
