Mizzou financially makes the most sense but I would not trust them not to bolt for the B1G.
This.
What commissioner in his right mind would not want Mizzou instead of WVU? I have probably been Mizzou's biggest advocate on this board, but if they are so damn smitten with the B1G that they cannot make a decision then to hell with them. The SEC is better than that and deserves more loyalty and respect than it appears Mizzou is capable of giving.
I think Mizzou will eventually land in the B1G. Not because the B1G wants them - they obviously do not - but because they will be forced to take them to keep pace with all the other 14 and 16 team conferences.
Instead of eating shrimp étouffée in Baton Rouge and fried chicken and sweat tea in Oxford they are going to have Bratwurst and sauerkraut in Madison and pickled pigs feet in Iowa City. Great choice, Mizzou. Congratulations.

the one to blame in the SEC
What's to blame? Slive is presiding over a very orderly expansion of the SEC in two very good directions. The ACC is adding Syracuse and Pitt, so they are now 14. And they have locked the doors with their $20 million buyout increase. But the ACC is still the ACC. 'Nuff said about that.
With aTm and WVU in the SEC the conference will remain balanced, these two teams are both ranked right now and both have national followings. They will enhance the overall SEC image and will add some excitement as rivalries renew or are created. This is a win/win for the SEC; we will remain the premier power conference in football for quite a while longer. Anybody who thinks otherwise is surely not grasping this golden opportunity for the gold that it is.

I really hope ESPN laughs Slive out of the room when he comes to try and renegotiate. This will probably happen......the ACC is locking up new major markets, the Pac looks to be bringing on monster programs in Texas and OU and the SEC is making marginal additions. Slive always seemed like he had a master-plan but this is the most important time for conferences in the history of college football and the SEC is going to be a massive loser in all of this. Bottom of the barrel.
Dr. D...?
i can normally detect sarcasm... are you being serious with any of this?
