Question about conference re-alignment

So Colorado joins the Pac 10, but won't actually play in the pac 10 until 2012(if that's what i heard correctly on tv)..

If the Big 12 completely "dissolves" they won't wait until 2012. Or so I am hearing. Buyout money or some shite.
