I wouldn't mind them in the SEC, but if I had to say why I don't then it would be the fact that they are conference destroyers.

Just moved to Austin so would want them so that i can get my SEC games here instead of some PAC 10 crap.

If we are going to expand I would like the SEC to add the best available teams to the conference; therefore, I want Texas in the SEC.
As to the comment that they are an obnoxious fanbase, well they'd fit right in with the 12 obnoxious fanbases already residing in the obnoxious SEC.

Yeah, their ego wouldn't allow them to do that...Even though they'd be missing out on potential home games against LSU, Bama and UF (every few years) as opposed to Arizona, Arizona State, Tech and USC every few years.

To be honest I don't know any Texas fans personally. But from what I understand Texas wants to step up to the next level academically and get access to research grant money in either the Big 10 or the PAC 10. As such they don't seem to be a good cultural fit in the SEC. Regardless, I wish them well. They have a fine program.

Which is why they don't want to be in the SEC. Trade Arizona for Alabama? Trade Texas Tech for Auburn? Trade Oregon for LSU? Trade Stanford for Florida? Too many tough teams year in and year out. Texas loves them some conference pussies.
