The problem with any realignment that seeks to keep the divisions equally strong: it's based on recent history. Over the years, teams that were strong become weak and vice versa. Things change. What may seem balanced one year may not be the next.

in that "weak west" scenario, I could easily see A&M emerging as LSU's primary challeger for the West title.
Not right away of course, and its all speculation, we could fall flat on our face.
