Jerryworld will have to pony up some megabucks for that to happen. If he can make it more profitable for the schools than a home and home then consider it a done deal.

I can tell you there is considerable momentum among Baton Rouge businesses, many of whom are owned or managed by LSU alums, to put pressure on Chancellor Martin about these "neutral site" games.

Especially when they involve LSU giving up a home game, as is the case with the LSU-Oregon game this year. Times are tough already, and BR-area businesses altogether lose at the very least hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars spent by fans attending a home game at Tiger Stadium. And the effect is felt as far away as New Orleans, where many out-of-town fans spend time either before or after a game.

Neutral site games can be very lucrative for LSU in the short term, but can hurt in the long term, as a great many ticked off alumni will make their feeling known via their checkbooks.
