However, if OU decides to depart for the Pac-12, the Big 12 will no longer be a viable conference. Texas will do either one of two things:
Actually, this may be exactly what Texas wants but I don't think they will ever consider joining another conference. They'll probably try to force A&M to stay and add SMU, Houston or whoever else they can (TCU?)to complete the South-All-Texas division in case A&M actually succeeds in leaving. At the same time, they will try to save the North division with teams like BYU, Air Force, and perhaps Memphis, etc. They would almost be insured of winning their conference year after year.

If the Big 12 adds anyone from CUSA, I hope Southern Miss sues the Big 12 for tortious interference.

B/c the entire conference wasn't on the verge of destruction when those two left. Check that Vandy Vice-Chancellor's quote to see how much the SEC really wants the Ags. Doesn't look like they want even a count hairs chance of a lawsuit.

If everything everyone is saying is true, Baylor and the other schools have no legal standing anyway.
People keep saying that the Baylor threat has no merit.......the why did the SEC make the condition? Why is the SEC asking for the waiver?
Slive is no idiot. The SEC university presidents are not idiots and cowards. I really don't think they are asking for the waiver for absolutely no reason.

It's a touchy game.... Slive and the SEC are playing it with patience and a longview. They aren't afraid of a lawsuit because they think Baylor would "win".
You have made snarky comments about Baylor taking control of the situation, why? What do you think is really going to happen here? Do you reeeaally think this posturing is going change the course that the SEC has decided to take?
Oklahoma decides to leave, Big 12 is toast and Baylor can threaten frivolous lawsuits against both OU and aTm.
Oklahoma stays, and the Shit9 waives legal action against aTm.
So why are you talking so much, again?
