A&M should be good in basketball too.

For sure.

I'm actually looking forward to an A&M/Arky basketball rivalry.

i could see NCSU leaving, they hate UNC, they take pride in how much better their gameday atmosphere is than ours

it would be a great way to break out of the
UNC Dook shadow

also would create another in-state ACC-SEC rivalry

FSU-UF
Ga Tech-UGA
Clemson-SC
UNC-NCSU

With all of the talent that UNC has been producing into the NFL the past few years, they almost seemed like they were an SEC team

NC State seems like a good fit to move to the SEC, but my friend in Raleigh said there has been basically no mention of it up there.

UNC would never leave Duke.

Why? Just schedule them in basketball and win all your games every year in the SEC for a #1 seed.

I agree that NC State would be great in the SEC - both for the conference and the school. After living in Raleigh for a while, though, I just don't see the Old Guard allowing it.

The ACC is in the blood here. They'd have a difficult time even considering leaving. Too bad, because it would completely change State's status in the area.
