Other than A&M, this is my personal dream school to add to the SEC.

1: Great location, actually in the Southeast.
2:Storied program, multiple NC's to their name.
3: Fantastic facilities (free shoes too)
4: Already have an enormous rival within the conference.
5: Tallanasty is a damn good time

6: The scenery...

They don't add much in tv $$$$$ and would take a chunck of what we have. Don't get me wrong because I would hit all four, but that's not an amazing display of FSU co-eds.

It just makes sense geography and money wise. Tallahassee is closer to SEC venues than ACC.

I'll probably get slammed for saying it...

...but those girls look like a bunch of skankstresses to me.

Maybe I was spoiled by LSU's women.

Wrong. Florida State has a gigantic fan base who will tune in, travel, and make use of their purchasing power.

And lets not forget they add something baseball-wise too.

Agreed. I personally know much hotter girls from FSU, but I don't want to go around posting facebook pictures of girls I went to high school with

No, they are, but it's called Tallanasty for a reason.

They don't even travel to their own stadium...

FSU might add viewer but in markets the SEC already owns.

Yeah, doesn't do much for the market but does add a familiar university with a similar background. Could do worse.

Texas is the only market the SEC is looking to break in to. A&M as the western division addition would make sense. In the East, you're not going to find a better fit than Florida State.

I'd take VT or Mizzou over FSU in a heartbeat.

There's nothing saying they have to take a team from the east - they could take multiple teams out of the Big 12 and realign the divisions.

You don't want FL State yet you want Mizzou?

Some of you are highly overestimating the value of these markets. The SEC has been successful because of it's brand of football. Most of our current markets aren't in major cities, but the south's passion for footbal is what keeps the SEC the dominant conference. We care more about NCAA Football than we do pro football for the most part. FL State would make so much more sense than adding Mizzou. We gain their fan base, which is national and not limited to Tallassee, and we don't reach out to teams that truely aren't southern.

This has been the case the last couple of years. Everyone is tired of watching undisciplined Bowden teams play against an equally shitty Wake or NC State when the bars on Tennessee or Gaines are serving cheap alcohol and showing good games.

ETA: Don't underestimate the amount of renewed national interest that moving to the SEC while starting a new era in coaching will generate.

Plus fricking 1.

It would be mutually beneficial. Florida State is also on par with the rest of the SEC academically (although that's probably very low on our list of priorities)

I've attended Mizzou and live in Missouri so I think I know a little about how many people follow college football and Mizzou here.
