i'm for it but have some reservations. mainly, who will the eastern division addition be and how this affects the schedule. i really don't want to lose auburn as an annual game but can adapt.

lastly, i have pretty strong doubts y'all can pull this off. in texas, the politics are brutal and incredibly self serving. since this is an off year for the legislature and perry is an aggy, maybe you can do it. BUT, and a biggie, A&M will have to hold fast and be resolute because y'all are going to be made out to be the "bad guy", the "traitor", the "anti-christ" of texasdom. you will be labeled as the one killing baylor and texas tech. oddly enough, i was not for you guys coming to the SEC at first, but after seeing TU and ESPN team up to smear y'all, i'm on board. TU is accusing y'all of taking texas money out of state (baylor too) by leaving but they don't want to replace y'all with UH. the SEC works so well because of equal revenue sharing; if we had TU in the conference i'd want out big time. i don't see how y'all put up with the deceitful, lying, arrogant bastards as long as you have.

We welcome the chance that finally LSU can have some sort of a real geographical rival. Ever since Ole Miss tanked it circa 1964, LSU has been out on an island all to themselves.
aTm, just don't pull up too lame and you'll be OK here.

I wouldn't have thought it, but Starkville, Oxford, and Tuscaloosa are all marginally closer to Baton Rouge than College Station is.

I like the rivalry. I am excited about A&M joining.
