This would allow the bama-auburn-tenn-uga cluster pile to be a four team pod. They could effectively slob all over each other at SEC headquarters.

Then a&m-lsu-miss-ole miss could be one

Uk-mizzou-arky-OKLAHOMA STATE (wishful thinking)

Fla-vandy-USC-west virginia

Pods could keep another permanent opponent ant rotate two other opponents.

Well that scenario would have the SEC in such a cluster frick of legal problems is one issue.

Three teams from the Big 12 is not an option unless they implode and even then there would most likely be legal issues.

it will happen eventually

if we have 14 team conference for more than 2 or 3 years, I'll be very surprised.

if we have it for more than 5 years, fanbases will start to get angry as they might as well not be in the same conference as the teams in the opposite division since they never play

seriously, depending on how this falls, we could go 5 more years without playing Florida again

or worse yet, Auburn could go 5 more years without playing Florida.. and that was a real rivalry once upon a time

It'll happen, but will take a bit a time. You don't want to go to 16 just for the sake of creating a super conference. You want to make sure the next two teams you add bring the biggest bang possible, because spots are now at a premium.

I think now is the time to pop on okie state...the arrogant sooners out here think they will never leave them, muchless to a better conference.

They bring alot of sports championships, bigtime boosters, an entire market that lives on college football and new recruiting grounds.

That would be amusing, take the supposed "little brothers" of the two biggest teams in the Big 12 and watch them dominate their state on down the road. If the Big 12 keeps sliding and gasping for air, eventually its going to sink and die. Then what? Texas is already on a slide, and it wouldn't be hard to fathom Okie taking such a slide especially with the level of talent that going to be in the Big "Whatever."
