Why would LSU

Stupid take, just like the "LSU shouldnt hire ULL's coach" posts

Why do people think it's beneath LSU to hire a coach from certain schools if we perceive those schools to be less than LSU? You hire a coach based on resume and what he can offer you. Not saying they should hire Kiffin even if that is who they want and he wants to come here. I personally don't like the idea. If in the Alabama game all you changed is the team he was coaching to LSU and he went for all those 4th downs, this fan base would go nuclear. I also don't think that he values defense as much as he should. He would get much better players at LSU but would still be content with always just trying to outscore teams. I don't think this will work well towards being elite. If someone does stop his offense and his defense can't do it's job then of course he loses. But to say just because this coach coaches at this lesser school is pretty short sighted.
