I did not know that.

His Notre Dame teams beat ours twice.
They were both B.S. and neither was a very good LSU team. He’s a good coach, but this is not an important point.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$
And Notre Dame probably wants him out.
He's been there longer than ANY of ND's famous coaches.
The timeframe for ND coaches is usually no longer than 10 years and then the school and coach mutually part ways.
Plus he's gotten stale and never got over the hump.
ND is ready to move on otherwise no way he leaves that Ivory Tower prime Independent gig at Notre Dame for the SEC West where he's just another coach.

Ridiculous, I can lay back and cash in big time money.
What does he have to bust his butt for? He is already the winningest coach at ND, so he has his heritage.
This is going to be a boring 5 years of 8-4 football.

He wants to beat Saban’s arse and he knows he can do it at LSU.

Correct he needs sports communication majors from the SEC that and Benjamin's makes sense

With the scholly restrictions and ND academic standards ND will probably never win another NC again...he's tired of being handcuffed...
I didn't think about that. Recruiting at ND is like swimming with a weight vest. He'll be even better here.

ND also wasn't going to break the bank like LSU and re-up Kelly and match that offer for a 93-39 coach who's record against Top 10 teams is 3-8.

100 million dollars for 10 years. absurd money for any coach, much less for a coach that has never won anything at 60 years old.
ND fans are ecstatic about getting new young blood in their program...which is exactly what LSU should have been looking to do.
BK will be gone in 5 years with 50 million dollars still unpaid.
SW just throws money around trying to make the biggest splash hire possible, not necessarily to make the best hire for the football program.
While BK may be an above average coach, he is certainly not a coach that should demand that kind of money or even be talked about as an elite coach.
this is not a good hire for LSU long term imho.
