Who Do We Keep On Staff?

Coach O has been hit & miss with plenty coaching hires: Linehan, James Cregg, Jake Peetz, DJ Mangas, Bo Pelini etc..
However I believe they're are some gems within our current coaching staff that should be retained by the next HC:
1. Greg McMahon: Special Teams
--generally not thought of when considering which members of the coaching staff should remain, but he's been responsible for the recruiting & discovery of kickers we've had of late at LSU. Special Teams have been consistently competent across the board for LSU, & we can count on them when the games are on the line. The only thing I would be critical of is the lack of a consistent punt return game, but has it been bad?
2. Corey Raymond: Defensive Backs
-- many were critical of DBs last season for being out of place/blown coverages, but he's the reason why we have and are known for our elite DBs in the first place. Ive heard many commentators say he's the reason many young corners come to LSU. I believe he's an elite coach that only suffered from an unprepared/poorly coached defensive scheme.
3. Daronte Jones: Defensive Coordinator
-- I loved this hire from the first start. Many describe him as an astute defensive mind, similar to that of Dave Aranda. Personally, my family knows him from his high school coaching days @ Jeanerette High so I might be biased, but he is a schematic nightmare if ever unleashed. I truly believe he was handcuffed by an erratic coach and didn't have the opportunity to demonstrate his skills. Furthermore, the development of the younger talent on LSU's roster shows he's not just a figurehead but an effective coach.
4. Brad Davis: Offensive Line
-- How can you inherit a terrible line, change schematically (techniques), & somehow improve the play of both the line & backups (who seem to play better than the actual starters?) DEVELOPMENT!!! This was the hire I was most enthusiastic about, and its paying dividends. I want to see how the line would look with better recruiting (which he's an ace) & more than half an offseason to prepare for the regular season.
5. Andre Carter: Defensive Line
-- To say we've lost starters from injury, the line has been consistent. Similar to Davis, I want to see what he's truly capable of. He's definitely a developer of talent, and can recruit. Nevertheless, Id keep him on staff.
Fire everyone else.
I am by no means saying "the next coach has to keep these guys", I just believe they can be an asset to the next HC of LSU.

Really wish we could keep McMahon.

I truly believe he's the most unappreciated coach on staff

Good list, and I agree with your choices. But I would add Blake Baker to the list. He's done a nice job with the LBs, and it was said before the season he would work closely with Jones. We don't know how that has panned out, but again, he seems to have done solid work with the 'backers.
