What could it have possibly hurt to let today play out? I don't get the advantage of announcing O at all today.

Criminal negligence by the athletic department by not considering more than 2 coaches as replacements.

It makes ZERO sense. Why not bring in a few other options this week and see who else is out there?

That was my concern as well. Alleva obviously doesn't want to portray that we had to settle for O because Herman chose Texas. I guess he wants to beat the Texas announcement of Herman.
